Ken McDavitt

Ken is the original founder of Visiting Children’s recreation and has been enthusiastically working in event planning for children well over 20 years. It is Ken’s responsibility to work with other creative geniuses to create programs that are both fun and effective in reaching their goals whether it be educational or just good old entertainment.

Ken is also a performer, producer and a writer for children’s TV, radio, books and interactive DVDs. Ken is currently working with Magician Randy Rodgers to create a troupe of children magicians known as Abra Kid Dabras.


HENs Theatre Co.

HENs Theatre Co. is comprised of the creative genius of Emily De Cosimo, Natalie Taylor and Andrew Bloomer. HENs prides itself in making a difference in schools by bringing you highly professional shows and workshops designed to entertain and provoke thought in children of varying ages and abilities.


Brianne Tucker

Brianne is a theatrically trained actress who has performed in Canada and Great Britain. As well as an extensive background in contemporary and classical theatre Brianne was a core performer with the HENs Theatre Company, a widely recognized Theatre-in-Education provider in London that toured throughout Europe. There she also designed several workshops including Camp Rock and Fairy Tale Princess (for more details see PROGRAMS).

Brianne is also an accomplished singer, trained stage combater, balloon sculpture, facepainter, ballet, jazz and ballroom dancer and is master of the art of “eyebrow acting”.


Ian Quick

Ian Quick is a world class balloon twister who takes huge pride and delight in twisting beautiful and whimsical creations that are sure to astound the young and old alike.

After several years as a lawyer, Ian Quick realized that if he were going to lie and fool everyone, he might as well be honest about it. He became a magician!

Over the years, Ian Quick has honed his magical skills to delight and amaze a vast array of audiences, from corporate functions, to festivals to intimate soirées.


Jill Johnson

Jill Johnson is a professional artist and early childhood educator. Jill studied Fine art and Early Childhood Education at St. Lawrence College and Art History at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.

Jill started working with children as a Nursery School Teacher in 2001 and has been running children’s programming since including art classes, music camp and children’s theatre. Jill has been a strong advocate for children and children’s mental health. As a homeschooling mom, Jill has a keen interest in alternative education and her children have helped her rediscover her love of history and mythology.


Randy Rodgers

Randy is a self taught magician and has been performing for well over 15 years. His performances range from one-on-one close up magic to live and recorded stage shows at festivals and school and library shows for audiences of thousands.

Randy has also created and taught workshops on magic to children and is currently working on a DVD with Ken McDavitt teaching children the mechanics of magic and how to perform magic effects in front of a live audience.

Randy and Ken have also started a troupe of child magicians known as Abra Kid Dabras.
