Formation:Random placement in the room available
Skills:Character, Movement
Description:One student is chosen as “It” and leaves the room, while the student is out the group must decide what WELL KNOWN character the ‘it’ person is. After the group decides who the person is the have to set themselves up as characters who interact with this character. When ‘it” comes back the group must act as if ‘it’ is the character they want to establish him/her as.

Example; Let’s say that the it person is “Big Bird” (From Sesame St.), everyone in the group would have to be a character from Sesame St. So when Big bird walks into the room everyone in the group has to be a different character from Sesame St. (ESTABLISH WHO IS WHO BEFORE ‘it’ arrives.

So, as Big Bird walks around the room he may run into Oscar the Grouch or Bert and Ernie, the characters react in the same way they should to Big Bird but they never call Big Bird by his name.

When ‘it’ thinks they know for sure let them guess, before telling them if they’re right or wrong ask them why they think they’re that character.

Notes:
• You need to really be clear in the explanation and make sure that everyone waits their turn.
• Make sure that the group is spread out when ‘it’ comes into the room, otherwise you’ll have everyone gathered around the character at once with no chance of hearing any of them. – Make sure the group is establishing contact with the lead character. If people are talking either all at once or just to themselves the person who is it will have no chance of establishing who he/she is.
