Weekly Courses - Media Arts/Level 02
The object of this course is to give you acting experience for productions you will most likely encounter in the beginning of you lustrous histrionic art career. There will be homework, there will be things you have to bring in, and there will be a potluck dinner at the end of it all so we can watch our productions.
Daily
Now that you have the basic skills from Level one you apply them in level two where each class is geared towards one thing:
Making you work at improving your acting ability for productions.
The goal is to keep the teaching time between thirty to forty minutes. The rest is you working to get the production and stuff done.
By the end of the course each student will have his or her own thirty-second production complete and ready for viewing.
Day one, Commercials:
Don't panic (unless of course you're on fire, then, PANIC!) you will not be doing commercials for the entire course. Not only that, these commercials will be more detailed and involved than the basic ones you did before.
The day goes like this:
- Body positions
- Editing (180 degree rule & cuts)
- Voice Elements
- Music and SFX mix
- Timing
- Continuity
Part two, Production House rules:
These are NOT acting rules. The course will be run as if we are running a production studio. This includes deadlines, equipment allocation and other production elements. This will be a professional as can be.
Part three, planning for production:
- Script (B-M-E)
- Story board
- Characters
- Music
- SFX
- Timing (30 Sec. exactly)
