Golden Spoon

‘Golden Spoon’ is currently on a 250 school tour in Essex and Watford England and for a limited time, with the original cast, in Canada.

The play and accompanying workshops last an hour in total and highlight key aspects of healthy living including a balanced diet, exercise, self esteem, food groups and lots more. It is aimed at grades 2 and 3, but it has recently achieved much success with grade 1 audiences.

This is a colourful and lively production that gives children a rare opportunity to interact with characters, ask them questions and contribute to the story. The children will leave with a book comprising of a healthy dinner menu and keep fit exercises to share in class and take home. They are encouraged to write their own exercises, menus, games in the remaining blank pages. Each school is also entrusted with their very own mighty Golden Spoon that will happily whisk them away to Skydally in their playtime. This play will give teachers material for subsequent class discussions, and encourage children to incorporate a healthy attitude into their lives at home.

  • Full day: the whole day minus breaks and time for getting ready

  • Week: Monday to Friday
